Safety isn't a feature — it's the foundation
Safety & Verification
Friendshipps is built from the ground up with safety at its core. Every member you encounter here has passed identity verification. No exceptions, no workarounds.
How Identity Verification Works
Powered by Stripe Identity — the same technology used by banks and financial institutions.
Government Photo ID
A valid government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) is required. No exceptions.
Live Selfie Liveness Check
You'll take a real-time selfie that's matched against your ID. This confirms you're a living person — not a photo or deepfake.
Age Confirmation (18+)
Stripe Identity automatically confirms you're at least 18 years old from your ID before access is granted.
One Account Per Identity
Each identity can only create one Friendshipps account. Banned members cannot rejoin under a new account.
Why Is There a Fee to Join?
Honestly? We'd love for Friendshipps to be completely free. But real identity verification — the kind that actually keeps this community safe — has a cost. Every new member requires a secure government ID check and live liveness scan through Stripe Identity, and that carries a per-person processing fee.
The minimal membership fee exists solely to cover that verification cost and keep the platform running. It's not about profit — it's about making sure that every single person you meet here is exactly who they say they are. Safety first, always.
Your Privacy is Protected
Real Name Never Shown
Your legal name is never displayed to other members or stored visibly in our system.
Secure Hash Only
We store only a SHA-256 hash of your identity token — never raw PII, never your ID document.
No Data Selling
Your personal data is never sold, shared with third parties for advertising, or used beyond platform safety.
The Wave System — Safe by Design
Waves are anonymous until mutual. You can never be messaged by someone who hasn't received a wave back from you. There are no unsolicited direct messages — ever. Chat only opens when both members have expressed mutual interest.
Personal Safety Guidelines
Verification establishes identity — it does not guarantee character. Please take these personal safety practices seriously.
Always Meet in Safe, Public Locations
When meeting a Friendshipps member in person for the first time, choose a busy, well-lit public location — a café, restaurant, park, or community space. Do not invite someone to your home or go to theirs before you have established genuine trust over time.
Your safety is your responsibility. While we have verified the identity of our members to the best of our ability, Friendshipps cannot guarantee the conduct of any member outside the platform. Proceed with caution and at your own risk.
Be Cautious About Sharing Information About Children
We understand that knowing whether a potential friend has children in a similar age range can be a natural way to find common ground — and it's perfectly fine to mention that you're a parent in general terms. However, we strongly advise against sharing specific details about your children, including their names, schools, routines, or photos, until you have established a well-developed, trusted friendship over time.
Protect your children's privacy. Please do not share personal information about your children easily or early in a new friendship.
Tell someone where you're going and who you're meeting.
Drive yourself or arrange your own transportation.
Trust your instincts. If something feels off, leave.
Report any concerning behavior immediately via the platform or support@friendshipps.com.
Community Guidelines
These aren't suggestions. Violations result in permanent removal and identity hash blacklisting.
Platonic connections only
Friendshipps is exclusively for platonic adult friendship. Romantic solicitation of any kind is a zero-tolerance violation.
No explicit content
No explicit, sexual, or adult content of any kind may be shared on the platform.
Respect all members
Treat every member with dignity regardless of their background, identity, beliefs, or lifestyle.
No harassment or threats
Harassment, intimidation, stalking, hate speech, slurs, or threats of any kind will result in immediate permanent removal.
No impersonation
Do not misrepresent yourself or impersonate another person.
No spam or solicitation
No commercial solicitation, spam, pyramid schemes, or unsolicited promotion of any kind.
Violations = Permanent Ban
Members who violate community guidelines are permanently removed and their identity hash is blacklisted. Because verification is tied to a real government ID, banned members cannot rejoin under any new account.
A Note About Emails From Us
We don't email often — but when we do, here's how to know it's really us.
Always Verify Before You Click
Friendshipps™ does not send frequent emails. When we do communicate by email, all official messages come exclusively from an address ending in @friendshipps.com — not a lookalike domain, not a third-party address.
Check the full sender address — not just the display name. Scammers can show a friendly name while sending from a different domain.
Friendshipps™ will never ask for your password, payment card details, or government ID via email.
If an email asks you to verify your account urgently or threatens suspension, treat it as suspicious.
When in doubt, do not click — go directly to friendshipps.com and log in from there.
Received a suspicious email claiming to be from Friendshipps?
Do not click any links. Forward it to support@friendshipps.com and we will investigate. Hammock Holdings, LLC assumes no liability for phishing attempts or spoofed emails that did not originate from our systems.
Report a Concern
Every profile has a report button. Our team reviews all reports and acts quickly. If you have a safety concern that needs immediate attention, email us directly.
